Dr. Grace Pam

Religion & Conservation

Dr Grace Pam holds a BSc in Zoology and an MSc in Conservation Biology and Ornithology from the AP Leventis Ornithological Research Institute, Jos. She holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford, England United Kingdom in Zoology, specifically in Ethnobiology and Conservation. 

She is Co-founder / trustee  and the Chairperson of Eden Creation Care Initiative Nigeria, an associated Project of Arocha International.  

Her passion and research interests include conservation education, with special emphasis on Children, behavioural ecology and Socio-ecology.  

In 2004, she started the Children for nature project, Nigeria and pioneered the first school nature conservation clubs in the state.  There are now over 20 such clubs in schools in plateau state. She is a regular guest on the local radio and television  stations talking on nature. 

Dr Pam has been on the faculty of the University of Jos for the past 17 years. She has trained and continue to train students at both undergraduate level and postgraduate level. She is an ardent nature educator and lover, and does nature walks, and nature photography in her spare time.
