Donate NowNigeria is a country with diverse natural habitats, from savannas to forests and aquatic environments. It is also home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including species that are found nowhere else and are under threat. However, the country is facing significant challenges in terms of environmental degradation, biodiversity loss, human-wildlife conflict, desertification, and the impacts of climate change. These challenges have had a negative impact on many livelihoods and the economy, and threaten human well-being. To address these challenges, a multifaceted approach is needed to conserve biodiversity and promote responsible consumption, production, and practices that are in harmony with the natural world. This includes protecting habitats, stopping the illegal trade in wildlife, and educating local communities about the importance of biodiversity and the role it plays in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem.
