Mr. Adewale Awoyemi is a Nigerian Conservation Biologists, who became a certified project manager in September 2019. Mr. Awoyemi has actively been involved in conservation activities since 2014; he is currently the Head of the Forest Centre at the International Institute
of Tropical Agriculture, Ibadan, where he has won several research and conservation grants for promoting biodiversity conservation. In addition to participating in biodiversity/environmental monitoring and habitat restoration initiatives during the time, Mr. Awoyemi has contributed to capacity building among young professionals, through internships and awareness creation initiatives. He leads the Ibadan Bird Club, which is one of the most successful bird clubs in Africa and has over 10 scientific articles in peer-reviewed international journals.
His academic qualifications include a B.Sc. in Forestry and Wildlife Management (Ekiti State University, Nigeria), an M.Sc. in Conservation Biology (University of Jos, Nigeria), and a PhD in view (University of Granada, Spain).
